About

Hi, I’m Charlotte!

I’m a twentysomething sarcastic Scottish lass (with Mancunian roots) hailing from the outskirts of Glasgow. I’ve been rambling away on this blog since 2010, chatting about everything from my life as a student and the clothes I’m buying to my travels, the food I’ve eaten and my mental health. I spend a lot of time online, but when I’m not blogging or scrolling through social media you’ll most often find me playing The Sims, reading a good book or watching documentaries about airports.

Colours and Carousels started in 2010 as a way for me to kickstart my career in the fashion industry and bolster my university applications. It didn’t quite work out as I planned, and I quickly realised that fashion wasn’t my cup of tea. Blogging, however, definitely was my kind of thing, and so here we are today.

Here, you’ll find posts on anything and everything that pops into my mind. I love to talk about what I’ve been up to, where I’ve been and how I’m feeling as a twentysomething trying to navigate the modern world. Some of my favourite posts I’ve written recently include:

As well as this blog, I also run a website for bloggers called Blog and Beyond. Blog and Beyond is a huge collaborative resource that I created to help bloggers of all shapes and sizes build their brand online and take their blog to the next level. Alongside Blog & Beyond, I offer personalised blog coaching, where I’ll work with you to kick your blogging game up a gear.

My love for the online world led me to start my own digital marketing business, Blether. I’m hugely passionate about helping small businesses master their digital marketing through coaching, training and events. I also offer copywriting and content marketing services, if you’d rather outsource your marketing instead. Find out more about the services I offer over on the Blether site.
