The Sea Salt Mud Mask looks like your standard mud mask, it comes in a pretty pink pot in keeping with the rest of Lee Stafford’s products. and has a consistency that is slightly thicker than that of your standard conditioner. It has the classic Lee Stafford scent, a fruity yet sweet combination that leaves your hair smelling as gorgeous as it looks. This mask is rich with Dead Sea minerals, aiming to moisturise the hair and help to strengthen, repair and rejuvenate your locks without adding unnecessary extra weight. Sounds pretty good, right?
I’ve been mixing up how I use this mask, sometimes using it in between my usual shampoo and conditioner for some extra nourishment, or alternatively using it as a replacement for my conditioner – mostly in an attempt to make my conditioner last a little bit longer. In the past, I’ve regularly used hair masks in place of conditioners which I found to work really well for my hair, providing the nourishment it needs without weighing it down or leaving it greasy. Luckily, the Sea Salt Mud Mask by Lee Stafford works well for me whichever way I choose to apply it. If my hair is feeling super dry like it was when I came back from my holiday, I leave it on for up to 30 minutes whilst I soak in the bath to rejuvenate my tired tresses.
Most importantly, however, does it really work? Well, to get straight to the point – yes.
After massaging this uber-moisturising mask into my hair and scalp and rinsing, I’m left with beautiful smelling hair that feels super soft (and smells delicious) without looking limp or greasy. As long as you rinse properly, this mask won’t leave any sticky residue in your hair, ensuring it doesn’t create the need for extra washes, something I always look for in a hair mask. As you’d expect from a sea salt range, the Sea Salt Mud Mask gives my hair a boost of added texture and bounce. The dream, really. I’ve been using this roughly twice a week and have noticed a real difference in the appearance of my hair.
The Sea Salt Mud Mask has made me realise what I’ve been missing all of these months whilst I’ve been on my Nioxin binge. Using it alongside my beloved Nioxin 3 has given my hair a new lease of life, and the days where alopecia left me feeling disheartened about how my hair looked feel like a distant memory. At £10.99, this mask is the perfect addition to my hair care routine without breaking the bank. Plus, you can save 1/3rd at Boots until the 2nd of August, so that’s a bonus.
