Autumn/Winter is potentially my favourite season fashion wise, I’m all about the layering and I do love the slightly more muted colour palette. Debenhams Press Events never fail to get me excited for the changing seasons, and this year’s visit to Glasgow’s Blythswood Square certainly didn’t let me down.
One thing that I can always rely on the designers at Debenhams to ace is the use of texture, something that I always look for when Autumn comes around. Seventies inspired fashion is still huge this season, much to my dismay, but despite my inital dislike for the trend I’ve actually found a few looks that I think I could interpret through my own wardrobe. It’s definitely a more autumnal trend in my eyes! The suede pinafore with the fur gilet was a firm favourite of mine.
Much like their summer collections the accessories for this upcoming season are nothing short of incredible. With intricate embellishments and shoes to die for, Debenhams are looking like a one stop shop for the festive season. I just love the deep blues on offer, with the midnight velvet platforms heading straight to the top of my wishlist.
Obviously I saved the best for last. Christmas is a treasure trove for beauty addicts like myself, and this year’s new releases are pretty damn exciting. I don’t want to give too much away – I do hate a spoiler – but highlights for me include the Alice & Olivia x Nails Inc collaboration and Benefit’s step in a bolder direction. Gone are the typical pastel, candy shop styles of last Christmas only to be replaced by bright, fun, kitsch packed pieces that scream party time.
It’s going to be one hell of a season! Big thanks to Debenhams for inviting me along to check it out.
