Glasgow, the city that summer forgot.
Ah how I love heading in to the city centre on what should be a sunny July morning to be met with torrential downpours and gloomy grey skies. I love this city, but we really need to talk about this weather. Where is the sunshine?!
Yesterday I met up with Jenny with the intention of filming a couple of lookbooks for our YouTube channels, but sadly the weather had other plans. After dipping in to Hutcheson’s for a quick coffee and some snacks (cheese solves everything) we decided to seek shelter in the Gallery of Modern Art for a while.
The GoMA is one of my favourite places in Glasgow. It’s entirely free to enter and they always have some amazing exhibitions on. The building itself is just beautiful and smack bang in the heart of the city. I could waste many an hour wandering around admiring the work. Definitely worth visiting if you’re caught up in a downpour like us!
Drowned rat look aside, I absolutely adore these trousers. You may have seen them in my recent haul video, where I mentioned that I just want to wear them everywhere. I love how they look with a more casual outfit like this, but they really come in to their own when they’re a bit more dressed up. Sadly the rain got in the way of us shooting that outfit, so you’ll just need to wait and see 😉
Things haven’t been quite so regular over on the blog front at the moment and I’m really hoping to get back to it all properly soon. Right now pretty much all of my time is invested in the final preparation for #ScotBlogMeet and horrendous shifts at work. Every year I find myself saying that July is one of my busiest months and this year is no different! The last week is going to be a tiny bit crazy but once that’s out of the way everything should calm down a bit.
What have you been up to lately?
