LIFE: Brighton Photo Diary Part 1

I’ve got a serious case of the post holiday blues after returning from Brighton last night. I’d always wanted to visit so I was so excited when me, my boyfriend, my future flatmate Eilidh (who also has a blog!) and her boyfriend booked it back in February.

We flew to Gatwick from Edinburgh on Monday before getting the bus from the airport to the seaside where we had booked a few nights in a lovely apartment by the sea. Sadly the weather wasn’t all too summery for our summer holiday but to be honest we were pretty lucky it wasn’t a constant downpour! Typically, the sunshine appeared on our last morning as we headed back to the airport.

On the Monday night we got in reasonably late and all we wanted to do was eat so we headed down to a little Italian right on the seafront which was pretty underwhelming. My main meal was bland and tasted like a ready meal, service wasn’t fantastic and yet they sneakily added a tip to our bill. I did have an amazing white chocolate & almond tiramisu though, every cloud and all that!

Tuesday was spent exploring the town, our first stop being crepes & doughnuts on the pier (super healthy breakfast) before visiting the aquarium to avoid a rain shower. Afterwards we had a proper wander on the pier and spent a ton on the amusements before having a chippy for lunch and wandering back up through the little shops in the Laines. For dinner we ended up having Italian again at an incredibly cheap & cheerful restaurant called Fat Leo. The food was delicious and it was 3 courses for £9.50 – can’t really complain!

(I didn’t want to make a totally overwhelming photo heavy post so part 2 will be up on Monday!)
