BEAUTY: Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask – £6.25

Technically, this little beauty didn’t cost me a thing. If you’re a fan of Lush – like I definitely am – then you’ll probably know that if you return five of their little black pots once you’ve finished with the product the previously housed you will be rewarded with a free face mask. I’ve had quite a stash of these pots building up recently but kept forgetting to take them in to store to get my mask however a couple of weeks ago I remembered just as I was running out of the door, and here we are.

I love the Lush face masks, they’re fantastic value for money and real skin saviours for me. My previous favourites were Oatifix (great for moisturising) and Cupcake (targeted at young, blemish prone skin) however I thought I would give something else a go. I think Catastrophe Cosmetic is one of the more popular masks and I thought it would be a handy addition to my skincare line up as it claims to save the day should a skin disaster strike.

This mask is packed full of blueberries, calamine, chamomile, rose and almond oils to provide lots of antioxidants, vitamins and moisture to skin in times of need. For me, it definitely provides what it promises. I’ve been using a generous helping of this mask alongside my current favourite from Avon once week for three weeks now and you can really see the difference. It does a great job at soaking up excess oils without leaving my face overly dry and has definitely helped to calm down any redness. It’s definitely a new favourite from Lush and I will be repurchasing (or exchanging pots for) it in the future!

Have you tried any of the Lush fresh face masks, if so which is your favourite?
