OOTD: It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it

Dress - Topshop
Jacket - Nevada
hand me down from my mum (totes vintage), similar on eBay
Shoes - Office
Bag - Primark
I have had this dress for well over a year, wear it all the time and yet it is still to feature in a proper outfit post! I have a feeling it popped up in my London photo diary, but I thought it deserved a post to itself. This is a very standard outfit for me, easy dress, black tights & a denim jacket. Admittedly, it's still a bit too chilly for just a denim jacket and sometimes an extra layer (or three) is required before I can brave the Aberdeen air.

This weekend I have two of my best friends up visiting from Glasgow (fitting in my room is a struggle...) and it's such a lovely way to spend my weekend. The weather's not fantastic but hey is it ever? I think today we're going to take a wander down to the beach for some lunch (or maybe just down the street depending on the weather) then maybe have a look round the shops before tea and see where the night takes us! It's my first weekend in Aberdeen in a while and I couldn't have asked for better company.

On another note, I've been featured in a post over on the Currys blog in their Ultimate Blogger Workout Playlist - you can check out my (pretty standard Charlotte) choices over there and have a listen to the whole playlist below!

How are you spending your weekend?

  1. Ooh love the dress, and I can't wait until I get to wear just a denim jacket outside! Unfortunately it's a bit too cold as of yet.. x

  3. Aww you look friggen adorable!!
I love wearing boots or sneakers with my dresses.
Your hair makes this dress look amazing, and the stockings definitely add to it.
    Great outfit!!

  4. your dress is a wicked colour, love it! xx

  5. I love the colour of that dress and it's a great length too! Definitely gonna check out your playlist too, I am in a I-hate-all-my-music phase atm so looking for new favourite songs!

It means so much to me that people take the time to comment, and I really appreciate each and every one. I try to reply to all of them but I am pretty forgetful, so if you have a burning question that you would like me to answer please drop me a tweet @colourscarousel or email me!
