REVIEW: Nikon D3100 Wireless Remote & Receiver

Wireless Remote & Receiver – Amazon

As much as I love my camera, the fact that Nikon (for some strange reason) had removed wireless capability for this model (the D3100) was starting to annoy me. I’d been having a Google and found some slightly expensive options for enabling a wireless remote however I’d all but given up when I found this little bargain on Amazon. The majority of the reviews were great with only one negative review that didn’t go in to much detail, so I just went for it!

It arrived a couple of days later and as soon as I had found the right batteries (2 x AAA!) I was raring to go. I’m very happy to report that IT WORKS! The receiver simply plugs in to the GPS slot on the left hand cable panel then all you have to do is make sure that the remote and receiver are on the same channel then Bob’s your uncle. Finally I don’t need to dash back and forth between my camera and my chosen photo spot. It’s saved me so much time and has made taking outfit photos just that much easier. I have a lot more room for outfits now that I’m back in Aberdeen, as well as the more fashionable portion of my wardrobe, so I can’t wait to get back in to shooting lots of outfits.

If you, like me, have a Nikon D3100 (or another camera that doesn’t have the wireless feature) this could be a great idea for you!
