Fruitbroo* is available online here or in Sainsbury’s for £1.70
Me again! Eventually… I wish I had a decent excuse for being such an awful blogger lately but to be perfectly honest I just couldn’t be bothered. I’ve been doing a lot of work for the magazine (the first issue is out soon woooo!) and also had my first ‘proper’ deadlines for university… fun times. My camera is having some issues after a firmware update which I don’t think installed properly so whilst I try my very best to sort that out I’ve done some fancy editing using my iPod… so autumnal. Much filter.
Sorry, I’ve been on Tumblr too much.
Anyway, I love a hot drink basically all year round but when winter starts to appear it’s kind of all I drink. I consume hot chocolate like it’s water. My mum was raving about these fruity drink things but I didn’t particularly fancy the flavours she had however when Fruitbroo got in touch and asked if I wanted to try some I jumped at the chance (I also knew it would get me in my mum’s good books, top daughter and all).
Fruitbroo is kind of like a sticky syrupy mixture that you stir in to hot water to make a drink reminiscent of tea but without the caffeine. For someone who tends to get migraines after a bit too much caffeine this is perfect, I can have all the delicious fruity goodness all day every day with zero headache! I find it quite sweet and very flavourful; I tend to have mine with a bit of lemon juice but I do that with pretty much any kind of fruit tea. I found the apple, ginger & spice flavour to be considerably more spicy (durhhh) towards the end which I’m not a big fan of so I tend to leave the very end bit but I’m fussy.
These little tubes of goodness have been getting me through all my work and I don’t even feel guilty because they’re only a tiny 15 calories per cup. Right now I’ve got my eye on the banana & coconut flavour which sounds absolutely delicious, definitely going to be keeping an eye out for that one.
(My sweary but true mug is from Urban Outfitters)
