Dower & Hall Press Day

Aqua Misanga Bracelet – Dower & Hall*

Last Thursday I popped in to Glasgow with Hayley to visit the Dower & Hall press day celebrating the launch of their latest collections for Autumn/Winter ’13. Tucked away in Princes Square the lovely little shop hadn’t previously caught my eye, however I know it’s somewhere I will definitely be visiting again.

Dower & Hall are a British born company founded by husband & wife Dan and Diane. Their pieces are a perfect mix of contemporary and classic styles in many finishes, including rose gold, classic gold, silver and oxidised silver. At the moment I’m a massive fan of rose gold however I feel like there isn’t enough around – this time last year it was everywhere! – so it’s nice to see a lot of it featuring.

I’ve recently been on a bit of a quest to add more ‘grown up’ pieces to my jewellery collection and quite a few glittery pieces from Dower & Hall have made their way on to my list, in particular from their new Azure and Luscious Letters collections. A rose gold ‘C’ necklace is definitely on my Christmas list! Another favourite is the mixed metal feather bracelet from their new Tribal collection, I love the combination of finishes which makes it a very versatile piece, as well as the insane level of intricacy involved in the feather charms.

I was ever so kindly gifted the beautiful Misanga bracelet which features nuggets of sterling silver on lovely soft cord, it’s a friendship bracelet with a bit of glamour. It’s definitely my style of jewellery so it’s nice to have something simple yet elegant, it’s barely left my wrist.

If you’re after a bit of sparkle in your life I would seriously recommend checking out the Dower & Hall website or popping in to one of their stores if you’re in the Glasgow or London Spitalfields area. Dower & Hall are also stocked in selected John Lewis stores which you can find a list of here.
