Wishlist Wednesday - The Passion For Fashion Edition

I came home on Monday to a very exciting e-mail in my inbox from the people at Moneysupermarket. Now I know, at first, that doesn't sound very exciting, but when I started reading it really was - promise! It was regarding their Passion For Fashion competition that their running for a chance to win either £1000 and an iPad 3 for the overall winner or £200 for the winners of each individual category judged by some of the big name bloggers. Basically, to enter you have to put together an outfit that's under £200 for 5 different categories: Party, Casual, Outdoors, First Date and Office. I thought that it would fit in quite nicely for a Wishlist Wednesday post, so here it is!

Dress - Boots - Cardigan - Bag

One of A/W's massive trends for 2012 is grunge, being a self described girly-girl I didn't think I'd be in to this trend but it has seriously grown on me. Every year without fail my love for leopard print grows as the temperature falls, not sure why but it does! I love this dress, it's simple but can easily be dressed up or down dependent on the occasion. For casual wear I'd team it with this lovely burgundy cardigan as it does get very chilly in Scotland - there's rumours of snow soon! Normally my 'casual' time is spent shopping, so for a bag I chose this adorable Aztec backpack (which is actually £36 - typo!) to free up my hands for rummaging through the rails, but also roomy enough to hold all of my stuff. Obviously, I just had to include the boots that I'm still lusting over. I've been looking for some cheaper alternatives but so far nothing lives up to these beauties.

Parka - Top - Jeans - Boots - Bag
I'm not really an outdoors-y type of girl so this was a bit of a difficult one for me. In the end, I decided to go for an outfit that would be suitable for a walk down to one of my favourite spots by the canal near my house. I fell in love with the parka as soon as I saw it on the Topshop website and decided to include it to give myself a bit of a challenge, with the parka itself taking up almost half of the budget. It's a beautiful burgundy colour that's perfect for autumn and winter. This being the case I decided to go for a well priced brand that still has fashionable pieces for a bargain price - Matalan. I love Matalan, but it can be quite hit and miss! However I love all of these pieces, especially the boots and the bag and might have to go pick them up one day. The boots are perfect for the dreary Scottish weather and the bag looks nice and roomy to hold all my essentials.
Trousers - Blouse - Shoes - Bag (actually Miss Selfridge - sorry!) - Watch
Yet another typo, oops. Seeing as I don't actually work yet (maybe soon though, but more on that another day!) this is the kind of outfit I dream of wearing to my future job - if it's in an office of course. Who knows! I might buy these trousers regardless, I've got quite a thing for patterned trousers just now, which is great because they are really on trend this season and there's plenty of choice! I do love this paisley patterned pair.
Dress - Bag - Shoes - Ring
It's been quite a while since I went on a 'first date', but I think it's the perfect opportunity to be as girly as possible. Lace is big this season, as usual, but this dress is slightly brighter than all of the other lace I've been looking at. I fell in love with the lavender version of the bag when I saw it in Topshop and when I found the pink version I knew it just had to go with the bag. As I'm sure you all know, studs are a HUGE trend at the moment - you can get studs on anything and everything - and the shoes and bag tie this trend in with this outfit and give the girliness something of an edge.

Top - Shorts - Boots - Clutch - Hand Chain
Out of all of these outfits, this is my favourite. I've wanted this gorgeous top for a while and it's quite a bargain for Topshop! Not only is it lace but the baroque pattern is velvet - making it bang on trend for this year. The sequin shorts add some glam for night, along with the beaded clutch which also has a baroque style pattern to it. Like most girls I would love a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita's, but the price tag has put me off for now. However luckily the high street is full of amazing dupes and one of my favourite pairs has to be these lace ones from Tribeca shoes, again tying in with the lace on the top. Definitely on my to-buy list! I'm not much of a jewellery girl but I am loving the hand chain craze that's hit this season and this cross one is gorgeous, I'm loving Topshop's jewellery right now!

So there you have my five outfits, I had lots of fun putting them together and now I just want to go and spend all of my pennies! If you want to enter you can read more about it here.
