All we have is this moment

I finally found the one...

The perfect pair of jeans, that is - I found Paddy a good while ago now (awwww how cute am I, please buy me pizza Paddy). I'd been trying to find a pair of mom-style jeans that I could actually squeeze my arse into for three or four years, and I have many vivid memories of trying on pair after pair in the Topshop changing rooms whilst I still lived in Aberdeen. It wasn't meant to be, and I kind of gave up trying, until I'd heard from Kat that ASOS stocked some pretty decent jeans, and I decided to give them a try.

Jeans - ASOS; Blouse - Zara (similar here); Belt - ASOS
Trainers - Adidas via ASOS; Sunglasses - Primark
Necklaces - Kate Spade and Thomas Sabo (old)

Thanks to the wonder that is ASOS Premier, the Farleigh Slim Mom Jeans were in my life less than 24 hours later, and it's been love ever since. They're not quite as pronounced a "mom" style as I originally wanted, but the relaxed fit and high waist have stolen my heart and I rarely wear anything else these days. It's been a long time since I've strayed from classic black skinny jeans as I felt they were the only style that suited me, but over the past year, I've grown to love a blue wash.

These jeans don't make me look like a supermodel, but they certainly make me feel sassy as hell. As does this leopard print blouse. A couple of years ago you wouldn't have caught me dead in an outfit like this, as I was forever trying to hide my big arse and opted for outfits that skimmed over my thighs, but as I grow that little bit older I definitely give less of a shit.

You're probably sick of seeing this outfit by now, but I'm just so obsessed with the photos from my day of shooting with Claire at the start of February. We lucked out with the weather and ended up with enough photos to fill ten or so blog posts, so there's still a fair bit to come. It's been nice to have some more "fashiony" photos, as sharing my personal style is something that I love doing. In the past, I've been a bit inconsistent with my style content, but working with Claire has been an absolute godsend for my blog in its entirety.

I've been so happy with the content I've been putting out lately, and I think this is going to be a pretty good year for my blog. Something just feels different, which is pretty nice after eight years of slaving away behind the scenes. I feel like I've got the perfect balance of rambling "think pieces", reviews of the things I'm loving and a glimpse into my life as a twentysomething who's still trying to figure everything out. Like this post, for instance. On the whole, I'm feeling really comfortable in my own skin right now, as much as imposter syndrome may try to tell me otherwise on my down days.

Things right now are good. Busy, but good. They're not perfect, but I think I'm finding my balance this year and I'm not working myself into the ground anywhere near as much as I have in the past. Yes, I'm drowning in college work, but I'm putting confidence in my own abilities and I know I'll get where I want to be. I'm looking after myself, getting plenty of sleep, and listening to what my body needs. It's been nearly a year since my last panic attack, which is very nice, and I'm feeling a lot better mentally - minus the odd frazzled day.

On Saturday I'm heading off to Barcelona and I am buzzing. After being snowed in for five days last week, with the snow reaching over two foot in my garden, I'm desperately craving slightly warmer temperatures and maybe a spot of sunshine too. March is going to be an incredibly busy month, with parties and plans and trips aplenty, but that just makes the time pass quicker and I'm hoping it'll be summer before I know it.

Apart from that, I'm just plodding along, quite happily, in my new jeans. Although, I've had them since January now, so do they still count as new? Who knows, but either way I'm going to order myself a black pair too. They come in so many different washes and I'm even tempted by a pair with ripped knees (are ripped knees still cool?) to add to my collection. I've linked a few of the different colours down below for ya, in case you fancy getting in on the denim action.
