I remember the days when Charlotte Tilbury burst onto the makeup scene well, I was enamoured with the beautiful Gatsby-esque packaging and the fact that I could technically have my name on my makeup from the very beginning. On a university trip to London, I crawled the Selfridges beauty hall in search of the counter and bought my very first taste of the brand - the iconic Pillow Talk Lip Cheat Liner - and from there I was hooked. That was nearly four years ago now, and up until the end of last year, that lip liner was the only product I ever owned from the brand. In the last year, however, my collection has multiplied and expanded like nobody's business, and now I own what feels like the majority of the product range.

In September, Charlotte Tilbury is the Cult Beauty Brand of the Month, celebrating the incredible range of products that makeup queen Charlotte has brought to the scene. To mark this, there's free shipping on all Charlotte Tilbury products, instead of the usual £40 minimum spend. I've already got my eye on a few new buys when payday rolls around to add to my growing collection, and if you're the same, then get comfy, because I've got a lot of recommendations coming up...

Skincare

Surprisingly, to me at least, the majority of Charlotte Tilbury products I own are actually from her skincare range. I think it goes to show that adding little samples to orders or including them in gift sets goes a long way, as that's where I first discovered just how good the Charlotte Tilbury skincare is. I love the iconic Magic Cream, which is raved about by bloggers, celebrities and supermodels alike, but for me, the real standout has to be the Goddess Skin Clay Mask. Unlike other clay masks, this formula doesn't dry after you apply it, and instead infuses your skin with nourishment from extracts like almond and rosehip oil, whilst also drawing out those pesky impurities and softening dry skin. A must for those who find the typical clay mask to be too drying for their skin, plus it feels like an absolute treat, too.

Other favourites include the revolutionary Instant Magic Facial Dry Skin Sheet Mask, which, although expensive, is perfect for people like me who hate the cold, soggy feeling of regular sheet masks. I like to use a sheet mask whilst I'm reading in bed, so the dry mask is ideal for the evenings when I don't want sticky hands which will make a mess of my book. It's the little things, guys. When my skin is feeling particularly dry I lather on a layer of the Multi-Miracle Glow, which is a bit of a wonder product. Acting as a cleanser, a mask and a balm, this was an absolute saviour for soothing sun-parched skin on my holiday earlier this year. Now that we're heading into winter at full throttle I can see myself reaching for this most nights to help counteract the pesky drying effects that central heating tends to have on my skin.

Another handy addition to my skincare collection has to be the Take It All Off makeup remover, which cuts through even the heaviest of smokey eyes like a dream. It's sensitive enough not to irritate the tender skin around my eyes, but still does a fantastic job at removing stubborn mascara. I've got quite a collection of these, in the miniature size, which I always take with me when I'm travelling. I think I'm down to just the three small bottles now...

Face

This summer I discovered the Unisex Healthy Glow and it was love at first use. Described as a tinted moisturiser, this magical moisturiser adapts to your natural skin tone to give you a beautiful sunkissed glow. It makes the perfect base for makeup, but can also be worn alone if you so prefer. As a pretty pale person, I'm often reluctant to use products that promise a "natural glow", as they tend to be far too warm for me, but this adapts to my ghostly hue perfectly and adds some much-needed colour to my complexion. If I can't be bothered doing a full face, but feel like my skin needs perking up, this is my go-to.

Other cult face favourites include the Magic Skin Foundation, which is sadly a little too dark for my skin but boasts a beautifully natural finish with a medium coverage. It is described as being full coverage, but it definitely sits more in the middle in my experience. I'm pretty intrigued by the new Hollywood Beauty Light Wand and the Hollywood Contour Wand, which have had rave reviews so far. I like the idea of the "wand" packaging, and the Beauty Light wand is next on my shopping list. Or at least it was, until I saw the new Instant Eye Palette, and fell head over heels as soon as I set eyes on it.

Eyes

Which leads me nicely onto eyes! I think the eye products are one of the strongest parts of Charlotte Tilbury's range, with the palettes always catching my eye whenever I'm at a counter. Since getting the Beauty Glow Instant Look in a Palette earlier in September I've barely touched another product. Not just for the eyes, the Look in a Palette also houses face enhancing powders for blush, bronzing and highlight, making it the perfect travel partner. The three eyeshadows are versatile enough to create both day and night looks when paired together, or can also be worn alone too. I'm slightly obsessed with the two shimmery shades, and if you've seen me wearing eyeshadow recently, it's most definitely been one of the two. The Luxury Palettes, which you're sure to have seen before as the quads are one of the most iconic Charlotte Tilbury products, at least in my eyes anyway, are absolutely stunning too. I have my eye on Dolce Vita and Golden Goddess, but the Instant Eye palette has stolen my affections for now, so I'm waiting to get my hands on that before I order any more palettes!

I thought that I was happy with my little cheap Natural Collection eyebrow pencil and I'd never felt the need to try anything new, but the Legendary Brows has shown me just how wrong I was. If you're expecting this to just be the same as any other brow gel out there, you are also wrong. The super fine applicator is the perfect size for precise application which, having brows that bore the brunt of my alopecia, is exactly what I need. The formula is conditioning and doesn't feel stiff, ensuring that your brows look considerably more natural than they would with many other gels, but are still beautifully defined. I'm converted, and now I want to try the Legendary Mascara too.

Lips

And finally, the lips. Alongside the killer eye products, Charlotte Tilbury also knows how to make a good lipstick. The classic Matte Revolution formula is a thing of beauty, with an incredibly hydrating formula that actually lasts all day. These are so comfortable to wear and I'm excited to be breaking them out more often now that it's getting to berry lip season, as the shades in my collection, Glastonberry, Walk of Shame and Bond Girl, definitely lean on the autumnal side. I've been desperately trying to get Pillow Talk, as having tried the lip liner I know that it'll be the perfect shade for me, but I'm always too late when it comes into stock. I feel like I've been on the waiting list forever, ugh. One day it will be mine.

One of the most recent launches from Charlotte Tilbury was the Hollywood Lips liquid formula, and obviously, I had to get involved with this launch too. I love liquid lipsticks a little bit too much, and I'm unsurprisingly very impressed with Charlotte Tilbury's interpretation. It's not quite liquid, more of a mousse formula, which makes it super light on the lips. I was worried that it would slide off my lips, as it didn't feel like it had really "set" in place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it boasts the same lasting power as the Matte Revolution formula that I know I can rely on. I have the shade Best Actress which is a lovely warm pink-nude and ideal for daily wear, particularly as it's not drying in the slightest.
