As that annoying Sainsburys advert says, the best gift this Christmas is time. I always feel like I'm running out of time these days, particularly with the busy festive period in full swing, so I'm all for saving time where I can. Although I usually love hitting the shops I've just not been feeling it this year, it just feels busier and more stressful than ever which is not what I need right now. Instead, I'm all about the one-stop shop, where I can get the bulk of my Christmas shopping done in one easy peasy place without having to worry about making all these different orders and keeping track of them. I'll maybe pick up a few stocking fillers out and about, but thanks to the wonderful world of the internet my Christmas shopping is pretty much done and dusted!
One of these aforementioned one-stop shops is Ideal World, the TV shopping channel that is an absolute treasure trove for shoppers. I've raved about their beauty selection before, but now I've delved even deeper to what's on offer I think I'm a little bit hooked. With toys, gadgets, fashion and homewares aplenty there is definitely something for everyone from Ideal World this Christmas. There's even an activity tracker for pets if that's your sort of thing...
HomeI think it's maybe a sign of me getting older, but I find myself looking more and more towards home based gifts with each passing year. One of the big things on my Christmas list this year is some nice bedding because I am a granny and my bed is my happy place, no judging. Last year I was beyond excited because our kitchen gained a new kettle and slow cooker, but right now I'm just buzzing about the Nutribullet. I've had a cheap off-brand blender for the past few years, which I bought in my student days, but now I finally have the real deal. This thing has won awards people. Awards. As much as I wish I got my 5 a day without any real thought, I do actually need to make a conscious effort to include fruit and veg in my diet, so I think this will make it sooooo much easier. You can make smoothies and soups and sauces
TechnologyGadgets and gizmos always go down a treat in my house, with my tech-obsessed brother having a pretty impressive setup. Ideal World have everything from phones, laptops and sat navs to 3D printers, record players and tablets like the GoClever 2700 Lite which is a nifty little lightweight Android tablet that's perfect for taking on the go. They also have a great range of wearable tech, including those ever-coveted fitness trackers that have been all the rage lately! The Archon Move activity tracker keeps an eye on what you get up to throughout the day, including your steps and heart rate, as well as having a little screen to show you the time, message notifications and calls from your phone too. I've been after a fitness tracker with a screen and heart rate monitor for a while, especially one with interchangeable straps like this!
I find that beauty gifts always go down a treat, as they're a little bit of pampering in a box, which is exactly what you need for Christmas time and beyond. I've chatted about beauty at Ideal World before, and was particularly impressed with their brands Elizabeth Grant and Skinn. I'm looking to those two brands again for Christmas, with beautiful little sets like the Elizabeth Grant Mask Collection being high up on my list after seeing Rhianna review them recently. The set comes packaged in a pretty little pouch with a handy brush for application - no more messy hands yay - with four masks for all skin concerns. It'll come as no surprise to hear that someone who blogs excessively about beauty can't resist makeup, but can you really ignore the beautiful Rosette Eyeshadow Palette & Mascara from Skinn? The warm rose shades are perfect for parties, so I think it makes a brilliant reward for finishing all of your Christmas shopping. Go on, you deserve it.
