In today's instalment of "how long can Charlotte drag out her Paris posts for?" we have the first of two outfits from my trip. I was originally planning on just one post with a little style diary featuring all of the outfits I wore whilst wandering Parisian streets, but instead, I've decided to focus on two of my favourite outfits from the trip and dedicate a post to each. Partly to pad out my content and make the trip last longer in my head, and partly because both of the bargain fashion gems I'm featuring deserve it.
First up is this classic black playsuit from New Look. Have I mentioned how much I'm loving New Look right now? Well, if my last outfit post wasn't enough of an homage to the brand for you then here's another, because I think they're totally killing it at the moment. This bargain playsuit has very quickly become a staple piece in my wardrobe and I ended up reaching for it on more than one occasion whilst in Paris. It's so easy to wear and works equally well for effortless daytime casual, or being dressed up for a bit of evening glam. A little black dress is always referred to as a classic piece, so I think this is just the perfect twist on the classic for me. It also comes in burgundy, which I'll be snapping up as soon as it comes in stock in my size.
The rest of the outfit is pretty typical of me, to the point that you're probably sick of the sight of my tattered old Adidas Gazelles. This is what I wore on our first day in Paris, so I needed something comfortable that I could wear for a full day of sightseeing without totally melting in the heat.
After a year packed with city breaks, I'm craving a week in the sun by a pool with a cocktail in my hand. I've been eyeing up a few last minute deals with Paddy for the first week in October but nothing is set in stone yet. I've got the time booked off of work already, so even if we don't get away it'll be nice to have some chill time together - especially now that I've started college. My classes start today, so it's still very early days, but it feels good to be back in education and so far it seems to suit me miles better than my last course. Here's hoping that continues!
