Autumn ASOS Edit

Autumn ASOS Edit Picks Wishlist Trends Must Buys | Colours and Carousels - Scottish Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion blog

One of my favourite things about not studying fashion anymore is feeling like I can wear whatever the hell I want without worrying about it. Sure, I probably could have done that on my previous course, but I had this notion stuck in my mind that people would think I wasn't "worthy" of studying a fashion related course if my wardrobe wasn't bursting with trend-led pieces and I didn't look Pinterest perfect every single day. Now, however, I can turn up to class in leggings and a jumper and no one will even bat an eyelid.

I think this "freedom" as such has really helped me figure out what styles I like, and even though I do just wear jeans and t-shirts most days I'm feeling a lot more comfortable in my style for the days I decide to put a little more thought in to my outfit. The changing season probably helps as well, because I find it much easier to dress for colder weather than I do for sunshine!

As always, there's still quite a lot of grey featuring in my wardrobe. I keep saying to myself that I need to wear less grey, but I'm always drawn to it so why shouldn't I? I've been trying to bring in some splashes of colour and often find myself picking out pink or blush tones, but in Autumn/Winter I do love a bit of green and burgundy too. I think the deeper colours in the later seasons tend to suit me a bit more than the lighter pastel-esque shades you often find in Spring/Summer, and I'm also loving the whole embroidery trend that's kicking about at the moment too.

P.S. That cat print tee is only £6.99, so get clicking before it's gone.
