Bag - New Look

As you can see, I finally got my paws on the beautiful bomber that I fell in love with after the Nobody's Child launch party back in March. After weeks of checking the website obsessively it eventually came back in stock in my size and was in my basket within moments. It's been perfect for those few days where the wintery weather breaks and we have a rare spot of spring sunshine. I picked up this ridiculously creased top in the New Look sale a couple of weekends ago and although it's maybe not the most flattering fit on me I adore the colour and how comfortable it is... even if it creases if you so much as look at it! Would you believe I ironed it before heading out of the house?

This rare spot of colour co-ordination is mostly down to my current obsession with blush tones and if it hadn't been raining in Glasgow - hence the bedraggled hair - I definitely would have been rocking my new matching sunglasses too. I think my adorable new bag from New Look just finishes this outfit off perfectly, and I'm sure if I rummage hard enough in the bottom of my wardrobe I would be able to dig out a matching pair of shoes too...

It's a mere 13 days till I jet off to New York and boy do I need a holiday. Yesterday I got the heartbreaking news that my university applications had all been unsuccessful and to tell you the truth I'm pretty gutted. I have all the grades, lots of experience, extra curriculars and had a kick ass personal statement, but it still wasn't to be. I'm a bit confused as to what the issue is, but I'm clearly doing something wrong. I've cried a lot, as per usual, but after a few days moping and generally treating myself kindly I'll dust myself off and figure out my next plan. I'm sure a week in the Big Apple with my best friend will do wonders for me right now and I'm counting down the minutes till I get on that plane.

I think that's about it in terms of news at the moment, but I'm sure in a few hours I'll remember something I meant to say as always...

I want to know how you made your plans work, how you reached your goals or how you plan to reach them - I need all the motivation & inspiration I can get - so tell me your story in the comments!
