Back when I was much, much younger my brother got a trampoline for his birthday and we both thought it was the best thing ever. The next few summers were spent fighting over who got to waste afternoons away on the trampoline with their friends until one year we just didn't. That trampoline is gone now, and has been for a while, but when Air Space Glasgow opened I knew I had to give it a try for myself. Paddy & I had actually intended to go for Valentine's Day last year, but as always time got away from us and a year later we still hadn't been to see it for ourselves.

Last week, however, things finally changed! We've both been so busy over the past few weeks with work and a dissertation to name just a couple of things, so the thought of a date night with a difference had us pulling on our fetching orange socks ready to bounce around.

Air Space Glasgow is best explained as a massive room full of trampolines, but there's a bit more to it than that. Alongside the huge freestyle area Air Space also plays host to basketball hoops, dodgeball courts, penalty shoot outs, exercise classes and huge air bags to throw yourself in to. You'd be surprised how tiring running about on trampolines can be - and I was a bit achey the next day - but much to my delight it didn't even slightly feel like exercise.

I'm by no means a gymnast, so as much as I wish I could show off awesome photos of me flipping around to my heart's content, it's not going to happen. Luckily for me Air Space caters to all ability levels and takes health & safety very seriously. Being able to have fun without worrying is always nice, isn't it? Although jumping in to a massive air bag can be pretty nerve wracking...

We only spent an hour in Air Space, and although it was just the two of us acting like children we had such a good night. I'm so keen to head back with some of my friends for an epic dodgeball showdown! It seems like one of those places that would keep everyone entertained and is sure to bring out your inner child in a heartbeat.

Maybe one day I'll be able to show off my flips, but for now I'll stick to watching in awe from the sidelines whilst I perfect my bum bounce...
