I'm pretty sure that this post breaks my longest spell of not posting in quite a while. It was completely unintentional, as always, because I was just a tiny bit too optimistic about my operation recovery time and only planned for a week of not being able to update. Unfortunately for me, this was not the case, and two weeks later I'm still struggling through.

Obviously these photos were taken before I became bed bound, and when the weather was a little bit less miserable. If you watched my October Haul then you may recognise this dress which cost just £10 from the Primark concession in the Trafford Centre Selfridges. It was love at first sight for this dress, but I had serious buyer's regret when I got it home. Despite having tried it on in store, I was convinced it totally didn't suit me and it was left sitting in the carrier bag for a few weeks before I eventually decided to give it another go. We've still not quite rekindled our initial spark, but I am wearing it more and more often now.

Being stuck in bed for so long has been incredibly frustrating for me, as much as I love Netflix I also love writing and shopping and baking and generally getting out of the house. I've been going a little bit stir crazy and not being able to do the things I love has been getting me down a bit. The operation itself went relatively well and apart from a nasty infection I picked up last week there haven't been any major complications, it's just been slow. In all honesty, it's been so much more difficult than I remember my last operation being which has really taken it's toll on me.

Whilst I'm still not quite back to my usual sassy self, I am feeling a bit more able to sit at this computer and tap away at the keys for a little while. It feels so natural to be back here, like nothing ever happened.

What have you been up to recently? Let me live vicariously through you! Plus, any television recommendations are very much appreciated - I think I'm going to run out of things to watch any day now...
