Dress - George at Asda // Boots - New Look (old)
With Halloween and Bonfire Night out of the way I think it's a bit more acceptable to be thinking about Christmas. Apparently, feeling like the year is zooming by is a sign of getting older, but I can remember last Christmas like it was yesterday. I was a bit more prepared last year, whereas I can already foresee a last minute rush for this year!
Christmas is a bit of a funny thing in our family. Until a couple of years ago, we would usually spend our Christmas Day down in England with my family, but now various commitments and hectic work rotas mean that it doesn't always work out that way. We used to all spend a few nights in a holiday cottage not too far from Blackpool so would retreat to the local carvery for our Christmas Dinner - where sadly pyjamas weren't quite acceptable... Nowadays we tend to have a relatively quiet Christmas Day with lots of chocolate and arguing over board games but we do still dress up a bit for dinner when we eventually roll out of our pyjamas.
When George at Asda challenged me to find my perfect Christmas day dress from their range of party dresses I was instantly drawn to this festively coloured dress. With it's casual t-shirt style it's so easy to wear - and very accommodating of food babies - but the embellished neckline adds a touch of Christmas sparkle. My favourite kind of outfit is one that you can just throw on and feel comfortable in, but doesn't look slobbish! Because of that, I have quite a few dresses in this style as they're so easy to wear.
Throughout December George will be showcasing 25 stylish bloggers' ideal Christmas Day outfits on their website and I can't wait to have a nosey at what everyone else picks! I love hearing about how other people spend holidays like Christmas too, so if you have any weird or wonderful traditions let me know in the comments!
