Birthday Wishlist

I like July. Holidays are usually in July - although this year I still have another two months to wait - and the weather can be alright sometimes. By Scottish standards at least! Another reason I like July is the fact that is my birthday month and despite nearing my twentieth year on this planet I am still full of childlike excitement about the day that I get to spend with the people who mean the most to me eating to my hearts desire. Priorities, eh?

I've had my eye on a lot of things lately, but it's been that annoying time of year where I should really avoid buying things in case I'm generously gifted something similar. In all honesty this is just the things I want to buy myself but feel like I should wait until after my birthday to do so... but seeing as my birthday is coming up it makes sense to call it a "birthday wishlist" of sorts.

Nars Sheer Glow has been on my "to buy" list for months now, I know exactly what shade I need (unsurprisingly the lightest available) and I finally decided between Sheer Glow and Sheer Matte, but every time I go to a counter I chicken out of buying it. It's a lot to spend on a foundation but I can't shake this feeling that it might be the one... Of course a lovely new foundation requires lovely new brushes and living up to true blogger stereotypes I am desperate for the latest release from Zoeva's Rose Gold collections. My current brushes are in a pretty sorry state and mostly need replacing so I think this set would have the basics covered!

Much like last year's wishlist (judging by this post I haven't changed much, I definitely still need new Vans) I have found yet another blog related mug that I need in my life. This Bloggers Gonna Blog mug that I found on Etsy would be a very welcome addition to last year's "Go Away I'm Blogging" mug that houses my morning cuppa on a daily basis.

It's no secret that I adore Claire Barclay's work - I mean my header is designed by her so surely that suggest I like it a little bit right? So really it shouldn't be surprising that this adorable Cat Lady necklace features in this wish list! I finally got round to treating myself to one of the personalised name necklaces earlier this week which I'm super excited to wear also. To be honest, anything from her shop would make me a happy lady.

I have been moaning about needing a new handbag for what feels like forever, but as per usual I haven't actually bothered buying one. A couple of months ago there was a bag in Ted Baker that I adored but it disappeared before I had the chance to buy it. When looking at the newer releases I found this stunning bag in the same style which I think will have to be my next victim. I'd love a Kate Spade bag, but I'm trying to save myself for when I eventually make it over to America to pick one up in an outlet, so the gorgeous range on offer at Ted Baker at the moment is definitely for me. Hopefully the original bag will turn up in the outlet in Livingston at some point too!

Since upgrading to my Samsung last month I've been really intrigued by the wireless charging feature, so would love one of these little wireless charger pads to try it out! I prefer the all white version but it didn't show up very well in the photo, sigh. I think it'd be really handy having one of these on my desk next to my laptop for during the day if needed.

Finally, I've been toying with investing in a new camera for a long time now. I adore my Nikon D3100 but I've had it for a fair few years now and it's starting to show. It makes a really strange noise when it's turned on and I've managed to crack my viewfinder (more irritating than impractical), however the amount I've invested in other kit for the camera is making it a hard decision for me. I've heard really great things about the Canon EOS M compact system camera which has been on offer on Amazon for a while now. After lugging a heavy DSLR around for years a compact system like the EOS M is appealing, but I just can't decide if I'm ready for it yet!

Is there anything you've got your eye on at the moment?
