BEAUTY: The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil

Camomile Cleansing Oil - £10 from The Body Shop
Cleansing oils are relatively new territory for me, I've tried a few sample sizes before but I'd never properly given them the chance. The Body Shop's Camomile Cleansing Oil is raved about quite often in the world of beauty blogging, so when I was at a student lock in event a few weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and give it a go.

At £10.00 it is in no way expensive, although it's a bit more than I'd usually like to spend on a cleansing product - hence why my skin kinda sucks sometimes. However I figured that it must be a decent enough product to deserve the kind of hype it's been given. The 200ml bottle is lasting quite well so far, a small amount of product goes a long way so I think I'll be getting my monies worth from this.

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this, but at first I hated this product as I thought my skin felt absolutely disgusting and really clogged up. Then I realised I was using it wrong. Stupidly, I had expected it to be just like a Micellar water and I didn't even bother to read the directions before starting to use it... Rookie mistake. After my moment of clarity when I discovered how I should actually be using it this quickly became a staple product in my skincare routine - replacing my previous love for the Garnier Micellar Water.

Like it says on the tin (or bottle) this oil is incredibly silky feeling and melts away make up effortlessly - even stubborn eyeliner and waterproof mascara. After clarifying with water this leaves my skin feeling beautifully soft and clean without any horrible filmy residue. It's so quick and easy to use, great for someone as lazy as me!

In all honesty it isn't a miracle worker - it won't clear your skin up overnight or make your pores vanish without a trace - but if you're looking for an effortless cleanser that actually works then this is definitely one to consider.
