OOTD: You say you want a revolution

(what's an iron?)

Dress - Rosegal*
Shorts - Primark
Necklace - New Look
Lipstack - MAC Captive
(dress is currently sold out but here's a
few similar pieces in various colours: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4)
Who needs an iron, eh? To be fair I do actually have one it just sets off the fire alarm the majority of the time so it tends to be reserved for very special occasions.

When I wear this dress I can't help but style it in a bit of a sixties way, with lots of monochrome and my lovely little ankle boots. I never thought it was my kind of dress but lately I've been opting for it quite often, one day I will eventually get round to the mammoth task of straightening my hair and go full on beehive but for now my usual mane will do. So far I've only really worn it for slightly more dressy occasions like going out for dinner, but I think it would look really good paired with my denim leggings and some big chunky trainers for a more casual look. I'm kind of tempted to buy this gorgeous dress also from Rosegal, such a bargain and really makes a statement.

As you can see, I'm back in Aberdeen for my second semester of university now. It's been a bit difficult getting in to the swing of things as my days are much longer now but I'm sure I'll settle in quickly. The thing I'm finding hardest is adapting my sleeping pattern to a somewhat "normal" schedule... Naps are my new best friend.

  5. Love this outfit, Charlotte - and also how your necklaces are so cleverly hung up in the background. Makes me so excited to go to Uni! Also love the title - since studying Russian revolutions in history, I'm a big fan of them...History geek right there, haha.
