Guest Post: Benefit Sun Beam

I'M CURRENTLY OFF SUNNING MYSELF IN CORFU, SO THIS IS A GUEST POST BY THE LOVELY NIKKI OF THE LUNAR LIGHTS - I'D THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING OUT HER BLOG! ENJOY :)

Hello :) My name is Nikki, and I write a little fashion and beauty blog over at thelunarlights.blogspot.co.uk :) I'm filling in for Charlotte today, I hope you don't mind! One thing you should know about me, is that I'm an absolute sucker for packaging. It's become a worrying obsession. The slightest hint of a pretty box or a nice label, and I'm sold. So when I started the hunt for a new highlighter, I couldn't help myself but wander over to the Benefit stand.

Benefit Sun Beam Highlighter - RRP £19.50

Highlighters are something which I haven't really explored too much, and after watching a million You Tube tutorials, I've noticed how much of a difference it can really make to the final look of your makeup! So I headed to Boots to start my search. Benefit is a brand I've always loved (not just for their packaging I promise!) They are pretty pricey, but everything I've purchased has been so amazing and really lived up to the hype, so I'd definitely recommend them as being worth every penny!

After much deliberation, I decided to go for 'Sun Beam', a more toned down version of 'High Beam', in my opinion. This highlighter has a beautiful golden shimmer running through it, and when blended, gives a gorgeous golden glow to the cheeks. Perfect for summer :) I apply three little dots along my cheek bones and use my Real Techniques stipple brush to blend. It's so subtle and not at all OTT, which I think is always a concern when buying a highlighter, as you don't want a glittery stripe down your face!

Overall, this product is absolutely amazing, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a gorgeous golden glow this summer :) Benefit strikes again!
